Am I Ready For Marriage?

We all have that dream of marrying our dream partners for life. But, what are the things to consider before entering the lifetime commitment called "marriage".

1.) You must consider your expectations of marriage.Maybe, spending the rest of your life with the person you love is kinda the best thing a person can have yet you must know that marriage life isn't all about being in love with each other. Trials will come and will test you and your partner if you can hold on to the vow of your marriage. What are you expecting tho?

 

2.) Your partner's family. We all know that before we decide on marrying our partners, we knew our partners very well. But, what about his/her family? Do you know them very well? What are the culture and traditions they preserve and continue to do till now? Do you know their attitudes well? You must learn on how to deal with your partner's family because this will strengthen the relationship you two had and will create a deeper understanding for the both of you.

3.) Your values. Sometimes, conflicts in marriage arise because of the values of each other. This happen at all times. You must learn on how to respect his/her opinion, views in politics, religion, and life. Learning on how to respect will lead to a happy marriage.

4.) The way you will raise your children. Are you gonna discipline your kid with force or verbality? Partners have different ways on how to discipline their kids. Partners will argue on who will take care of their kids when the other is on work. You might get surprised on how your partner will raise your 2 weeks-old kid.

5.) Your personal goals and career. You must learn to sacrifice your personal goals in life to be able to take good care of your family and how to build it on your desires. You still got have plenty of time left to fulfill those goals and pursue your career.

6.) Managing finances. You and your partner must have an equal understanding on how to manage your finances because in marriage, your money and all your assets are all of your partner also. This needs a high decision making skill and great understanding towards the financial problems and family problems you will face throughout of your marriage life.
