Amid the ocean of people that contains monsters from the depths of negativities, keep looking at the horizon of hope!

Meet Miss Everything, named Jeric “Ericka” Maribojoc Camata in real life from the lands of Samar. In the eyes of the internet, she is a viral star who became famous in the Philippines with her funny videos. But before that, let us see what lies behind her waters, as she lived by the ocean in her life.

Sail along, as we watch how she conquered the sea of negativities with her sail of positivity, also saving people from the waters with her bubbly humor!

‘Sea’ the Life by the Ocean

As if her life was a representation of the song “How Far I’ll Go,” Ericka, 20, lived her life by the ocean and the winds it brings. But how was her life beside the waters?

Ericka came from a big family, in which she has six siblings. But according to an interview in Magandang Buhay, she shared that her grandmother was the one who raised her in the lands of Samar after her father sailed away from life, while her mother had another family. She also stopped going to school after finishing 12th grade and is now currently helping her younger sibling by providing a daily allowance.

But of course, she also sailed through some storms, and that includes bullying. According to StarStudio, she was bullied as a child for being “pa-girl.” “Nabu-bully naman po ako. Yung kinukutsa sa ano, sa paaralan, binubully ako dun kasi pa-girl daw ako, tapos mahina ako,” she stated. But enough of the rain and now let us find more about this star, oozing with humor that tickled the hearts of many Filipinos!

Horizon of Popularity

As she sailed in the sea of life passing through storms, she then became an instant star on the internet. How? Based on the same site, she just started uploading random clips of her greetings saying “Hello, everything! Are you feeling right now?” instead of saying “Hello, everyone! How are you feeling right now?” And since then, she was dubbed as Miss Everything, revealing a treasure chest of popularity for her.

According to her, the clip she uploaded suddenly reached 1 million views in less than two hours! Her quirkiness, simplicity, and humor were just simply adored by people, and since then, she shared that things have changed. Then again, we can see her sailing by the horizon of popularity.

Having a Boat of Positivity

The oceans of our life would always have those dark clouds and terrifying storms. But no matter how hard reality hits, Ericka said she is putting an effort to be optimistic and always trying to see the positive in every situation.

“Sa likod ng pagpapatawa ko, kahit papaano merong kalungkutan. Sa lahat po ng tao, importante po maging masaya, diba? Na-apply ko yun kasi kung sa buhay mo, naging malungkot ka, parang nadadamay lahat ng nasa bahay niyo. Dapat masaya para masaya ang pamilya.” Ericka shared. Having a boat of positivity that longs to see each horizon between the land and the sea, she keeps being optimistic not only for herself, but for the people around her too.

As her name “Miss Everything” serves as a reminder of humor and positivity, she continues to sail on the seas of life, somehow mirroring a real-life Moana. And after the storms she has faced, there was surely a rainbow after the rain, a rainbow that touched other people too. Now, in waters where monsters of negativities might lurk down in the depths, she is a bubbly reminder to always look at the horizon ahead.
